The Obelisco

Bsasobelisco The Obelisco It is definetly a pretty sight to see and a great reference point for travelers although nothing original to see, the truth is its just as pretty on a postcard. there are some great areas around the monument to take picutures with friends and family, but they can be hard to get to due to the heavy traffic on this enormous avenue. even if you have the right of way, dont expect drivers hanging sharp turns to stop for you. (very similar to the one in NY...)

Sport fishing

Flyfishing_argentina Downstream from the Punta Médanos lighthouse and up to the surroundings of the Querandí lighthouse, the beaches become narrower and so do the edges. The swell recedes and the sea waters get deeper and saltier. That's the reason , not only the species that approach the shore came in variety but also in quality.

The possibilities of fishing large corvinas, brótolas, small hakes, pejerreyes, rays and chuchos are endless. The piers become special sites, especially during the quiet hours of the afternoon, the sunset and the evening. In those moments, as well as dawn, you can enjoy fishing at the seaside.

The Pinamar and Villa Gessel piers are also perfect to use long rods and front-drag reels and fish the large corvinas rubias, brótolas, small hakes, rays and chuchos, as well as some dogfish that dares to approach the coast in its pursuit of some pejerrey or anchovy shoal.

An interesting place site for daylight fishing is the area known as Mar de las Pampas and Mar Azul. There, the sea gets deep very near the shore and the gutters that follow the wave breaker are much deeper. Therefore, the large species of fish can reach the coast. These sea conditions and the fact that these are isolated resorts cause lower noise and rare presence of bathers. Thus, possibilities are increased at the time of coast fishing.

On a boat, the situation improves remarkably all round the area and the possibilities of getting best catches, both in quantity and quality, increase. Perhaps that is the reason why the fishing shops and the piers and local anglers offer the oportunity of going out on boats for a small price per person. An experience you shouldn't miss if you wish to make contact with all the species dwelling our seaboard.

Deception Island

13968767deceptionislandaa Deception Island is not a tropical island paradise, though it does have a Paradise Harbor. Deception Island is one of the islands in the South Shetland Island chain. It was formed by a volcanic crater, and when part of the crater collapsed, seawater rushed in the caldera and created one of the largest natural harbors (about 10 miles across) in the world.

Scientists, geologists, environmentalists and volcanologists may come for the other natural phenomena, but tourists come to swim in the Antarctic, at Pendulum Cove in water heated by an active volcano.

It's not real swimming, more like dipping into a narrow strip of shallow water along the beach, somewhere between blistering hot and frigid water. This is Deception Island's hot tub.

Cordoba

Corgaerea
In the city streets and avenues live together the colonial architecture and the modern buildings. You can walk around the cozy walkways and the crowded commercial shop centres, shoppings and seat in the several cafeterias.
In Córdoba the tourist can go around the pedestrian circuits that link San Martin square, the Cathedral, the historical Town Council, and the Light Block, with the Company of Jesus Church, the Trejo's House, The Monserrat National School and the Fray José Antonio de San Alberto Museum.
It also presents attractive green spaces, among which the Sarmiento's Park stands out. Designed in late last century by a French architect (Carlos Thays).
The tourist offer grows with the coast of the Suquia river, the Cordoba Stadium, and the Feriar establishment where international expositions are carried out during the whole year.
Córdoba displays an important night and cultural life, with several artistic and cultural spectacle rooms as well as all levels recreation centres.
Besides, it is an important industrial centre where there is a strong activity development. The cattle breeding and agriculture, as well as the mining activity are fountains of great richness for this region.

Ushuaia

Ushuaia3
It is possible to enjoy all year long this Ushuaia's nature magic.

Summer is ideal for adventure tourism: you can go trekking, horseback riding or even mountain biking inside Tierra del Fuego National Park. It is also fishing season. You can even take amazing trips across the Beagle Channel, Cape Horn up to Argentine Antarctica.

The Tierra del Fuego National Park constitutes an attraction itself, giving you the chance of discovering natural beauties like Lakes Escondido and Fagnano, as well as the Martial Glacier.

And, should you wish to grasp the character and spirit of this uttermost land's pioneers, there is nothing like a visit to one of the typical Patagonian estancias, like Harberton.
