Nahuel Huapi National Park

Nahuelhuapi Nahuel Huapi National Park is the oldest national park in Argentina, located in the foothills of the Andes mountains. It was established in 1934, covering an area of 7050 km², and within this area is San Carlos de Bariloche. It has a very rich wildlife and several biotopes, with altitudes ranging from 700 to 3,000 meters. The symbol of the area, the llao llao fungus, can be seen as beautiful irregular growths on the trees. The park has many lakes, the Lago Nahuel Huapi, Lago Mascardi, Lago Gutiérrez, Lago Traful, Lago Moreno, and Lago Guillelmo, a good reason to be known as the Argentine Lake District.

There are many estancias (ranches) where you can enjoy delicious meals, nature, and relax from the big cities stress. Don't miss Onelli Bay, one of the most romantic sites, and Laguna Nimez. At night, take a look at the sky, you will be amazed by the stars here, you can even see the satellites passing by!

Puerto Madryn

Puerto_madryn Puerto Madryn is in the Patagonia region, close to Peninsula Valdes. You will find many daytrips to Punta Tombo, where a penguin colony is the main sight, and the friendly birds let you walk among them, there are thousands of them! If you travel between June and March, combine the daytrip with a boat trip to see the Commerson's dolphins, they are a small black and white dolphins, very cute by the way!

Cataratas del Iguazu

Iguau_falls_landscape Cataratas del Iguazu (Iguazu Falls) is one of the great natural wonders of the world, and its located in the Tri-Border, the area where the borders of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meets, and it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. The border town on the Argentinian side is Puerto Iguazu, a small and pretty town, from where you can access the Falls.

Salta Salta is the capital city of the Province of Salta in Argentina and has a lot to offer, from historical tours to adventure activities. While in this city, try to pay a visit to the Cabildo, the old town hall that dates from 1783, and now houses the Museo Histórico del Norte; also, the Iglesia San Francisco (Church San Francisco) and its impressive tower are worth a visit.

Riogallegos Río Gallegos is the capital of Santa Cruz, Argentina, and has the first records of population around 1885. It is calm city, with not many activities to do, besides walking its streets and know the way of life of its inhabitants, but it is a lovely city to visit, and a great starting point to explore the rest of the Patagonian Region.

Seafestival National Sea Festival or Fiesta Nacional del Mar, is a festival that takes place in December in Mar del Plata, as the official inauguration of the summer season, and there's an election and coronation of the Sea Queen and her princesses. This celebration started in 1910, and is one of the most popular festivals in Mar del Plata.

Villa Gesell

Villagesell Villa Gesell is a beach town in the province of Buenos Aires, named after Don Carlos Gesell, son of a German economist, who bought 16.5 square km of sand dunes on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, back in 1931, and built a house for his family. Nowadays, that house is the Gesell family museum.

San Martin Park

SanmartinparkThe Parque General San Martín is located in Mendoza, and its construction started in 1896, but with a different name, Parque del Oeste (West Park), under the leadership of architect Carlos Thays. The main gates of the park date from 1909 and are decorated with a condor and the coat of arms of the city. The park also has 34 sculptures decorating the paths and roads, the Rosedal (rose garden), soccer fields and even a zoo!
